Most motorcycles are between 75 in. (6 ft. 3 in.) and 105 in. (8 ft. 9 in.) in length, making the 5x10 storage unit the most popular with riders. These are a standard storage unit size and can be found at most storage facilities with drive-up units.

Two small motorcycles or scooters can potentially fit in a 5x10 storage unit, but a 10x10 storage unit is the safer bet, simply to avoid overcrowding and damage. Three-wheelers should be stored in 10x10 units or larger.

• Drive-up Storage Units — Many storage facilities offer drive-up storage, which are ideal for motorcycles. As the name suggests, drive-up units are ground-level with a roll-up steel door, making access fast and convenient.
