A Team Built on Success, Experience, and Proven Results
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Harris brings over 10 years of experience in self storage with expertise building institutional investor-quality real estate and operational platforms, with over $1 billion in combined transaction volume. Prior to founding Store Space, Chris was a key stakeholder and the Chief Executive Officer at iStorage before its $700 million sale to National Storage Affiliates (NYSE:NSA).
President
Rob Consalvo brings over 15 years of operational expertise and infrastructure development in self storage, as both an executive and President managing multi-state portfolios. Prior to founding Store Space, Rob was the President and CTO for Storage Rentals of America ("SROA"), and before that he was a key stakeholder in iStorage before its $700 million sale to National Storage Affiliates (NYSE:NSA).
Chief Marketing Officer
An experienced digital marketer and executive for more than two decades, David Collins brings 15 years self storage experience to his role as Chief Marketing Officer. Most recently the Vice President, Head of Marketing for Public Storage, David’s top initiatives included the creation and deployment of their mobile website, eRental platform and mobile app, among others.
Chief Operating Officer
Kellen Kalso brings a customer-centric approach to his role as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Store Space, Kellen was Vice President Operations for The William Warren Group’s StorQuest Self Storage brand for 3-1/2 years, where he oversaw the company’s national operating strategy and initiatives. He also served in several senior leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company.
Chief Legal Officer
Vince Toenjes brings nearly 25 years of experience to Store Space from his background in commercial real estate and corporate law. Prior to joining Store Space, Vince was General Counsel for LifeStorage and helped oversee its $1.3 billion sale to Sovran Self Storage (NYSE:LSI). While in private practice, Vince represented numerous buyers, sellers and operators of independent self-storage facilities.
Jack McCurdy
Chief Financial Officer
Jack McCurdy brings a wealth of experience to his role as CFO at Store Space, and is responsible for treasury management, financial reporting, and human resources. Prior to joining Store Space, Jack served as the CFO, COO and CEO at several privately held companies in the healthcare, insurance brokerage and contract packaging industries. Jack began his career with KPMG.
Vice President of Organizational Development and Culture
Michelle Wight-Sands brings to Store Space over 14 years of operational experience at large, multi-site companies. As Vice President of Organizational Development and Culture, Michelle will head all cultural initiatives across our portfolio of companies. She joined Store Space in 2018 as Vice President of Operations. Previously she was an Asset Manager for LSC Development and was the Director of Operations for Life Storage where she played an integral part in its $1.3 billion sale to Sovran in July 2016.
Vice President of Operations
JC Reed brings nearly 12 years of experience in the self-storage industry to his role as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Store Space, JC was a Senior Regional Vice President at Public Storage, where he oversaw a portfolio of 100-plus properties in Seattle and Hawaii, generating more than $150 million in revenue and ranked in the company's top 10 in 8 of the last 10 years.
Senior Vice President of Investments
Edward Moran brings more than 7 years of acquisitions experience to his role as Senior Vice President of Investments. His responsibilities include identifying and executing on smart and strategic investment decisions for Store Space. Edward joined Store Space as VP of Acquisitions in 2019, during which time Store Space became the fastest-growing storage company in the country.
Vice President of Business Development
With more than a decade of executive sales leadership, Rob Moreno leads the Store Space sales team driving Store Space’s business-to-business activity, including third-party management, JVs, partnerships, and acquisitions. He joined Store Space in April 2022, bringing lead-gen and revenue-creation tactics he created within the commercial real estate sector.
